The New Standards Regime under the Localism Act 2011 PDF 61 KB Report of the Monitoring Officer Additional documents:
Minutes: The Chairman introduced a report on the progress of implementing the Localism Act 2011, and reported that the Committee could recommend a revised Code of Conduct to Council for approval.
It was noted that revised copies of the draft Code of Conduct and Code of Conduct Part B – Interests, were circulated at the meeting, and members gave consideration to determining a Code of Conduct to be recommended to Council.
A number of minor amendments to Part B were discussed and agreed by the Committee.
Resolved:
1) That the Draft Code of Conduct, including Part A - General Provisions, as circulated at the meeting and attached as Appendix 1 to these minutes, be recommended to Council for approval.
2) That the Draft Code of Conduct Part B – Interests, be recommended to Council for approval, subject to the amendments as agreed by members. (Agreed draft is shown in Appendix 2 to these minutes.)
