Eden Project Morecambe is firmly moving in to
delivery phase. To provide assurance over spend and claims it is a
requirement of the funding bodies that an Independent Funding
Monitor (Qualified Quantity Surveyor or similar) is appointed to
advise. Given the Programme for delivery of Eden Project Morecambe
and gateway stages required to secure funding it is essential that
the Funding Monitor is in post urgently and that procurement is
started as soon as possible with appointment during June 2025. The
cost of the Funding Monitor role will be borne by the Project and
not the Council.
