Are there any climate change implications?: CO2 from natural gas emission account for 59% of the council's direct CO2 emissions. The four sheltered schemes chosen contribute 15% towards these emissions. These emissions would disappear after the project(s) is delivered. Combined with SALC, the council's overall emissions from natural gas would reduce by 50% by the end of 21/22.
