Driver Trainer Requirements UB110 PDF 108 KB The Chief Executive, in consultation with the Chair of the Licensing Committee, has agreed to make a decision in accordance with the City Council’s Urgent Business Procedure, Delegated powers, Part 2, Section 7 of the City Councils Constitution.
The attached report was due for consideration by the Licensing Committee at its meeting scheduled to take place on 19 March. The meeting was cancelled in view of the current coronavirus pandemic.
The report is not considered contentious and realistically educational providers are likely to be non- operational in the immediate future . Whilst there is no indication as to when Govt advice will change and when training providers will be open for “business as usual” it would be helpful if the report and recommendations could be determined, so that officers, training providers and the taxi trade are clear as to the requirements in place when normal service resumes.
