That, in accordance with S100A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it may involve the possible disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Schedule 12A of that Act.

Minutes:

The Chief Executive outlined that due to the number of joint witnesses, the most effective way for the Committee to deal with the Appeal, was to consider questions to witnesses from the Head of Health and Strategic Housing, the appellant and their representative and Members of the Committee at the same time.  The appellant, their representative and the Head of Health and Strategic Housing joined the meeting.

 

The appellant confirmed the reasons for the appeal.

 

The Head of Health and Strategic Housing submitted the case on behalf of management.  Two witnesses were invited to join the meeting.  Each witness entered separately to present their witness statements.  Questions were then invited and each witness then left.  Councillor Kerr requested an adjournment for 5 minutes.

Two further witnesses were invited to join the meeting. Each witness entered separately to present their witness statements. Questions were then invited and each witness then left.

The appellant, their representative and the Head of Health and Strategic Housing and witness rejoined the meeting.  Questions to the witness continued.  In order for Councillors to obtain further advice, the meeting adjourned.
