Apologies were received from Councillors Roger Dennison, Mike Greenall, Abi Mills, Joyce Pritchard and Michael Smith.

To consider, pursuant to Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, past Member of the City Council Mrs Susie Charles, for admittance to the Roll of Honorary Alderman of the City of Lancaster in recognition of her eminent service.

Council considered the admittance to the roll of Honorary Aldermen of the City of Lancaster former Councillor Susie Charles in recognition of the eminent service rendered by her to the District as a past Member of the Council

The motion was moved by Councillor Joan Jackson and seconded by Councillor Hanson.  On being put to the vote, the Mayor declared the proposition clearly carried.

Resolved:-

That pursuant to Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, Mrs Susie Charles be admitted to the Roll of Honorary Aldermen of the City of Lancaster in recognition of her eminent service as a past Member of the Council.

Mrs Charles then signed the Roll of Honour and was presented with a framed certificate and badge by the Mayor. 

Honorary Alderman Mrs Susie Charles then responded to thank the Mayor and Councillors.
