Advertisement application for the retrospective display for the siting of a retail pod in car park.

It was proposed by Councillor Sally Maddocks and seconded by Councillor Keith Budden:

“That the application be approved subject to the conditions in the Committee Report.”

Upon being put to the vote, 13 Councillors voted in favour of the proposal with none against and no abstentions, whereupon the Chair declared the proposal to have been carried.

Resolved:

That the application be approved subject to the following conditions:

1.    Timescales valid for 5 year period;

2.    No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site;

3.    No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to obscure or hinder various transportation signs or signals;

4.    Any advertisement displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site;

5.    Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a condition that does not endanger the public;

6.    Where an advertisement is required under the Regulations to be removed, the site shall be left in a condition that does not endanger the public or impair visual amenity.
