Purpose:

To consider a recommendation for the preferred housing developer and housing proposal for the Nelson Street car park opportunity site following tender submission and officer assessment. Cabinet will be invited to offer an exclusivity period to the preferred developer during which the parties will finalise and complete a binding development agreement to progress a planning application and deliver a housing scheme for the site.

Cabinet received a report from the Chief Officer Sustainable Growth with regard to Early Phase Housing Regeneration Proposals. The report was exempt from publication by virtue of Paragraph 3, Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act, 1972.

 

The options, options analysis, including risk assessment and officer preferred option, were set out in the exempt report:

 

Councillor Hamilton-Cox proposed, seconded by Councillor Caroline Jackson:-

 

“That the recommendations, as set out in the exempt report, be approved.”
