Heysham Gateway - Use of Reserves

The report seeks commitment to spend part of the council’s approved Regeneration Feasibility Reserve for both strategic contextual and discrete project feasibility work on the area known as Heysham Gateway. The main aim behind the Heysham Gateway strategy is to provide a portfolio of high quality, sustainable employment sites which will prove attractive to businesses and build on the improvements in accessibility provided by the Bay Gateway. The intention is to establish Heysham Gateway as a premier business location in the north west for companies operating in the council's priority economic sectors.
