Are there any climate change implications?: Options are currently being reviewed for the Refuse Fleet of vehicles to be converted to Electric vehicles. Unfortunately, at this present time, there are no Electric Refuse Vehicles that are available from leading suppliers, however we have plans to trial two type approved products which have been developed by a local provider. Refuse vehicles are replaced every 7 years, so it is anticipated that there will be electric alternatives from the leading manufacturers as the market develops.
