The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 has removed the requirement for a Forward Plan to be published each month. Instead, local authorities operating executive arrangements are required to give at least 28 days’ notice of every key decision which is to be taken. To comply with this requirement and facilitate access to the information, the Council will be publishing these decisions under “ Executive Key Decisions”. You can obtain a complete list of the notices by clicking on the PDF link above each list of items. In addition, the Regulations, stipulate that at least 28 days’ notice should be given of the intention to hold any meeting or part in private. You will find a list of these meetings under Notice of Meetings where Executive Decisions may be taken in private”. 11/05/2020 - Lancaster Canal Quarter: Strategic Regeneration Framework and Delivery Strategy

To note the outcome of the Draft Lancaster Canal Quarter Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) statutory consultation process, note the amendments accepted by officers and approve a final version for adoption as a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to sit within the suite of Local Plan policy, advice and guidance material. The report also outlines the next steps in delivering a viable regeneration development proposal and phasing/delivery strategy, alongside the key approvals required to undertake the the next stage of work

11/05/2020 - Launch of ‘A Rail Strategy for Lancaster District’

The purpose of the report is to present the City Council’s recently-drafted Rail Strategy for the Lancaster District for formal endorsement.
Subject to Cabinet endorsement for the Strategy, it is envisaged that a formal launch event will be arranged. Thereafter the Strategy will be used as a basis for influencing key stakeholders and decision-makers within the rail industry.
