Urgent Business is the process by which the
City Council can make decisions where the decision is required to
be taken before the next scheduled meeting date of the decision
making body.
In these circumstances decisions may be made
by the Chief Executive in consultation with the Chairman of the
relevant decision making body (and in the case of Cabinet decisions
also in consultation with the Chairman of Overview and Scrutiny
Committee). These decisions are then published here and reported to
the next meeting of the decision making body.
