The Council’s playground strategy sets
out a priority for refurbishment of playgrounds and seeks to
encourage the use of external funding to achieve the aims of the
strategy.
Greaves Park playground is high on the priority list for
refurbishment.
Friends of Greaves Park are registered as an environmental body and
have secured external funding to build a new playground in Greaves
park. Fo GP are seeking the council’s permission to build a
playground on Council land. Once built they propose to hand over
the playground to the Council for the Council to maintain.
